Frank was born Muscatine, Iowa October 18, 1882. Frank died August 17. 1948 Sheridan, Wyoming, at 65 years of age. His body was interred August, 1948 Buffalo, WY, Willow Grove Cemetery.
He married twice. He married GERTRUDE SCOVEL BUTLER Lakeside, MI, August 25, 1908. Gertrude was born Indianapolis, IN September 30, 1881. Gertrude died March 17, 1934 San Francisco, CA, at 52 years of age. Her body was interred March, 1934 Buffalo, NY, Willow Grove Cemetery. He married HENRIETTA HANK STUART Plainsfield, NJ, September 15, 1937. Henrietta was born in Bass, Maine September 26, 1903. Henrietta died March 23, 1989 Buffalo, New York, at 85 years of age.
Frank served in the military as a member of Company C, Fiftieth Iowa Volunteers during the Spanish American War. I don't believe that they were called into action.
Frank graduated Chicago, IL, 1903. Institution: University of Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and while at the University played football under Coach A.A. Stagg. He moved to Saddlestring, WY in 1905 to run sheep and cattle and started the HF Bar Ranch in 1912 with approximately 10,000 acres .Read about the HF Bar Ranch Later Frank purchased the nearby Paradise Ranch. He also had lumbering interests. He unsuccessfully ran for Governor in the early 1930's and later successfully ran for the U.S. Congress for the State of Wyoming and held that position from approximately the late 1930's until the late 1940's.
